Rubens H. Kleinschmidt
Software engineer focused on backend systems. At Mercado Libre, I develop entire new features and lead complex initiatives that can directly impact the company’s GMV, from development through rollout to production. I drive cross-team technical decisions through RFCs and keep systems reliable on-call.
Outside of my day job, I create developer tools: Rush Assets, a suite of Unity tools for game developers, and Rush Octopus, an Open Service Broker API implementation that acts as a control plane for versioning and provisioning the infrastructure behind Rush Assets projects.
Contributor to open source projects including Quarkus, Spring Boot documentation, Radix UI, Fumadocs, and JetKVM.
I built this portfolio primarily to improve my writing and to serve as a public archive of my thoughts and learning throughout the projects and writing or books I read.
